Consolidated METC medical tech, corpsman training celebrates one year

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas (April 27, 2012) The Basic Medical
Technician Corpsman Program (BMTCP), a combined Air Force medical technician
and Navy hospital corpsman training program, celebrated its one year
anniversary as one program at the Medical Education and Training Campus
(METC). A cake cutting ceremony symbolizing the joining of the Air Force and
Navy entry-level enlisted medical programs under METC was conducted by the
first and last assigned Navy and Air Force instructors as well as the
inaugural commandant, Rear Adm. Bob Kiser. (Left to right: Chief Hospital
Corpsman Carol Domino, first assigned Navy instructor; Hospital Corpsman Third
Class Brandon Chacon, last assigned Navy instructor; Rear Adm. Bob Kiser, METC
