Military Surgeons General visit the Medical Education and Training Campus

(May 30, 2012) Instructors and staff of the Medical Education & Training Campus (METC) were given the opportunity of a lifetime when Lt. Gen. Charles Green, surgeon general of the Air Force; Vice Adm. Matthew Nathan, surgeon general of the Navy and chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery; and Lt. Gen. Patricia Horoho, surgeon general and commanding general, U.S. Army Medical Command and their senior enlisted leaders conducted All Hands calls during a visit to METC on May 30.

Consolidated METC medical tech, corpsman training celebrates one year

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas (April 27, 2012) The Basic Medical
Technician Corpsman Program (BMTCP), a combined Air Force medical technician
and Navy hospital corpsman training program, celebrated its one year
anniversary as one program at the Medical Education and Training Campus
(METC). A cake cutting ceremony symbolizing the joining of the Air Force and
Navy entry-level enlisted medical programs under METC was conducted by the
first and last assigned Navy and Air Force instructors as well as the
inaugural commandant, Rear Adm. Bob Kiser. (Left to right: Chief Hospital
Corpsman Carol Domino, first assigned Navy instructor; Hospital Corpsman Third
Class Brandon Chacon, last assigned Navy instructor; Rear Adm. Bob Kiser, METC

Air Force Staff Sgt. Deondra Parks accepts her certificate of completion from Air Force Lt. Col Elizabeth Decker, squadron commander for the 383rd Training Squadron, during the Basic Medical Technician/Corpsman Program graduation ceremony at the 
Medical Education & Training Campus (METC) in Fort Sam Houston, Texas on Oct 3, 2011. Parks  was enrolled in the program at Sheppard Air Force Base in 2010 but had to drop from training after she was shot. She returned to training in June 2011 at
