Aiming to Heal

By Lisa Braun Medical Education and Training Campus

In honor of Radiologic Technology Week, the multi-service Radiologic Technologist program at the Medical Education and Training Campus celebrated with a barbeque lunch for its students, instructors, and staff, followed by the reading of a proclamation signed by San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg Nov. 10. Three students, Navy Seaman Leslie Tamayo Escalona, Army Staff Sgt. Catrina Bradybeck, and Air Force Airman 1st Class Amber Lynn, each read a portion of the proclamation declaring Nov. 6-12 2022 National Radiologic Technology Week with this year’s theme, “Aiming to Heal.” Also part of the festivities was a program-sponsored student art contest. The winning artwork, created by Army Pfc. Fale Taua, was submitted to the Radiologic Technology Cover Art Contest sponsored by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. The winner of the ASRT competition will get their artwork displayed on the cover of its publication, Radiologic Technology, among other prizes.
